Mistress Helena Bids Us Adieu
As Her pining devotees know, Our talented textile artist won
a grant to study costume history and spent the past four months
in Paris, where She was accorded privileged access to examine
the fragile antique garments housed in the permanent collections
of such renowned fashion and textile museums as the Palais
Galliera and the Louvre's Musée de la Mode et du Textile, in
order to analyze construction and dye methods. Hélas, Helena
has tumbled in love with the European lifestyle and now plans
to remain abroad for two years, to continue Her research and
weave Her findings into the definitive book on the subject.
Her only regret: that She will miss you, Her pets.
